On Wednesday Jarno Trulli joined Jordan Honda's third driver, Ricardo Zonta, for the second of a three day test at Silverstone Circuit. Trulli posted the fourth fastest time in dry conditions during the morning with 1:25.35, and a time of 1:33.72 made his the quickest lap time this afternoon in wet conditions.
Standing water made running impossible from 1130 until 1430, although prior to this the Italian concentrated on dry chassis set-up work for Austria with tyre testing. In the afternoon drizzle, efforts were transferred to wet set-up and traction control software development.
Zonta was scheduled to drive several long runs for Honda with an evolution engine, although a problem with a development component resulted in restricted dry running time in the morning. Further running with development parts this afternoon enabled the Brazilian to complete 20 laps and the sixth fastest timed lap of 1:39.15, although this was posted in extremely wet conditions.
