24th May - Jordan's "T-Wing" is banned !

Not around for long !
The new and improved aerodynamic package used by the Arrows and Jordan teams at Thursday's practice for the Monaco Grand Prix have been banned by the sport's governing body for being too dangerous.

After an FIA investigation, Jo Bauer, the federation's technical delegate said: "Having examined the new aerodynamic device on car number 12 (the Jordan of Italian Jarno Trulli) I feel this constitutes a dangerous construction."
The Arrows team were sent a similar release by the FIA for their 'square-wing'.

The decision is not expected to make any difference to Saturday’s qualifying time for the two EJ11s, however. Heinz-Harald had not run with the extra wing at all and even Trulli had still to be fully convinced of his T-wing’s effectiveness.
The Italian said: "We tried the body-mounted wing later on and it felt okay. But we need to check the telemetry and see if it is worth running on Saturday. It's difficult to tell at this stage."

Not something that he has to worry about now !
