Jordan have dismissed reports in some of the UK Sunday Press that it has made a bid for David Coulthard to join its driving ranks in 2002.
There were claims in the lead-up to the Austrian Grand Prix that Eddie was conducting a review of his team’s future and specifically how long it would retain current drivers Jarno Trulli and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Coulthard was supposed to be his number one target.
Jordan have responded to those claims by releasing a statement denying any talks with McLaren driver David Coulthard about joining the team.
“In response to various reports claiming that Jordan is talking to David Coulthard about joining the team, Jordan Grand Prix would like to state categorically that this is untrue and is based upon rumours without substance.
Jordan Grand Prix is very happy with its current driver line-up and is not looking to make any changes.”
