Those Hollywood good looks

One of Jordan's main sponsors, Deutsche Post WorldNet (who also advertise as DHL and Danzas on the side of the EJ11), completed an ambitious 2-day filming project this week at Silverstone to create 2 brand new 40-second TV commercials to be aired on the German television channel RTL as from the Monaco Grand Prix. Jordan driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen flew in from Monaco to join team boss Eddie Jordan as the stars of the ad.
The 90 strong film crew working on the advert turned the Silverstone circuit into something more akin to a Hollywood film set than a motor racing track.
With the Jordan Honda EJ11s busy testing or racing, Jordan had to improvise to produce F1 track action. The solution came in the form of last year's EJ10 (dressed up in the 2001 livery) which still had a few miles left on the clock - and only a few were needed since FIA restrictions only permit 50 km to be run on a week leading up to a Grand Prix.
The full story of 'Hollywood' meets Formula One will feature in the Summer edition of J, the Jordan glossy magazine, available from 15th June, but it is not though likely that Ridley Scott is interested in signing the duo to star in his next blockbuster.
